DREAM SPRING/SUMMER DRESS

I really don't know how much sense this makes but i had to get it out of my mind and put it in paper! to be honest... I LOVE IT!!!

Tail hemlines are a big trend coming in for spring and summer 2011 i personally fell in love with it since the moment i saw it (yes i know this trend has been around for a long time) and i started looking for a dupe everywhere online but of course failing miserably.

On the other hand, I am NOT a Leah Michelle fan but from the moment i saw her in that Catherine Malandrino green gown i HAD to secretly give it to her or to Malandrino perhaps... The cleavage is beautiful and the ruffled sleeves are just perfect.

And as if i was praying to saints of fashion divine intervention occurred in my mind, the blend of these two amazing pieces that to me will make the perfect dress for the upcoming seasons.

Ive started the search for a local affordable tailor or designer that maybe can make my "dream" come true. Don't forget i live in New Orleans and if you happen to be reading this and know of someone please let me know.

MY SPRING '11 NAILS

Spring is almost here and i have to say i'm UBER exited about this spring's color trends. YES i do love dark polish it defintly gives that edgy look that some times im in the mood for but since i can remember; in my book, theres nothing more classy than a nude color nail. But everything cannot be always classy so if you want to twist it up a bit here are my favorite shades for this spring.

Not long ago i went into my local Steve Madden just not to loose the routine monotonic usual stroll around the mall to be pleasantly surprised with 2 racks of 50% off boots, sandals, pumps and anything you can think of. the first thing that caught my eye where these black platform leather pumps that i've been trying to find forever but not been wanting to pay tag price for them and since my black suede platform pumps were screaming for a replacement so i decided to go for it.

Its been a while....

In late may for Memorial day weekend i will be attending a close friend beach wedding and ive been trying to put together a "Fashion Beach Essential" i have very clear what i'm supposed to bring to a beach vacay but i wanted to do a real fashion essential not the same old "lots cotton dresses and 10 different color flippyfloppis" Mix and Matching bathing suit tops and bottoms is nothing new but defenitly something really smart to do. I took my options form TARGET.COM since its affordable and who doesn't love TARGET? I picked 8 pieces to mix and match for only $136 which is most likely just one part of any brand name swimwear company or designer. (PS IM OBSESSED WITH GETTING A www.beachbunny.com lace bikini but not the pocket or the body allow it)

I choose pieces that i actually own, similar ones and a few must have/buy.

The oversize boyfriend white shirt, i will use it in two ways one as a night outfit and as a beach cover up after i've used it to go out.

Denim shorts, im not a huge fan of but denim or fabric it will do and can go from day to night if we add pumps or wedges which are the next item

Shoes, Espadrille wedges!!, i havent been able to find the perfect pair yet, but i am loving this Michael Kors brown leather wedges. Nonetheless bring flip flops a pair of dressy sandals and a pair of flats, i choose the Tory Burch Reva Jelly Flats it makes them perfect for the beach since theres no worries about getting them wet they are comfy and always classy and stylish.

Skinny Jeggins, the best option for the beach denim leggins will dress you up at night or will be very useful on the cold way back home or on the way there, they are comfy and light and a key piece lately.

Cardigan, for those cooler nights and to match with almost every outfit you take.

Dresses, i picked 3 options, a maxi dress which i'm planning to wear to the wedding, but you can wear it for almost anything, a jersey dress which is a great option to stroll around with or perhaps dinner, and finally a one shoulder SATC2 Carrie arrives to Morocco with dress which will be statement piece anywhere we go to and can definitely be dress up or down.

Shirts, 3 tops that will be statement pieces for any occasion are a Tory Burch like tunic that can be used also as a cover up at the beach, a sexy ruffled back for any occasion an exaggerated sleeve top.

Bags, my bag choice for any trip has to be the LV Neverfull GM, its name says it all It will never be full you can fit your life in it and is perfect for trips. A straw bag for the beach is a great accessory and will not only fit you beach essentials but will give you that extra chic beachy look.

Sunglasses, Your favorite pair and please don't forget to bring some kind of protection against those mean UV Rays!
